About us

We are delighted to hear that you want to get to know us better, so we are going to give you a summary of how it all began, and how we have reached the present day; with the 5th generation of the family now at the head of the company!
 
In 1841 Joan Soler i Roca founded the first Spanish company dedicated to the manufacture of carding machine belts. 
 
105 years later, in 1946, Fytisa was created, dedicated to the manufacture of wool felts.
 
Since the introduction of synthetic needlepunching, Fytisa has been a specialist in decorative applications for the automotive industry and today we are considered one of the best manufacturers of decorative non-woven fabrics.

In 1980, it was decided to split the company into 2 new companies:

– FYTISA – production of Synthetic Non-Woven Fabrics (PES, VISCOSE, etc)
– Textil Olius – production of Wool Felts.
 
Over the last few years, the company has invested in new production equipment in order to expand its range of products for the acoustic and interior design sector and to focus on sustainability,
One of the novelties are acoustic panels in PET felt, Texfel® ECHO and Texfel® ACOUSTICS, both presented for the first time in different colours at the ORGATEC-Cologne trade fair in October 2022.
 

Our philosophy is to work with local suppliers whenever possible, and to optimise the use of resources such as water, energy and raw materials in order to manufacture as sustainably as possible.
 
 
We are a team of more than 60 people, in which we bring the design and quality of our felts to OEM’s, designers and architects in more than 21 countries.
